Job Title: Dynatrace APM Tool Administrator
Primary Objectives:
Our dynamic team is in search of an experienced Dynatrace APM Tool Administrator who possesses the skills to set up and manage Dynatrace clusters. As a key player, you will help us adhere to best practices, maintain agility, and meet project timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Architecture, application, and development teams to shape the strategic direction for event monitoring and management platforms.
- Champion the APM and event monitoring solutions and processes, forging partnerships with business application teams to ensure engagement and buy-in.
- Develop monitoring strategies and implementation plans.
- Install and configure Dynatrace Managed clusters, creating Environments as needed.
- Set up and upgrade ActiveGates for optimal performance.
- Ensure the health of the Dynatrace Managed platform by keeping software up to date with necessary versions.
- Onboard critical applications within scope using OneAgent.
- Enable application monitoring for crucial web and mobile applications.
- Seamlessly integrate Dynatrace with third-party tools as required.
- Handle escalated support issues with efficiency.
- Craft dashboards, custom views, metrics, and alerts using the Dynatrace Dashboard Tool.
- Drive continuous improvement within the environment.
- Offer guidance, informal training, and recommendations on the use of the Dynatrace OneAgent tool for application performance analysis.
- Assist users in developing and enhancing monitoring policies for meaningful application outcomes.
- Keep teams informed about new updates and features.
- Identify opportunities for process automation to enhance efficiency.
- Foster communication and collaboration with other application support teams, technical resources, and stakeholders regarding status, technical challenges, and innovative solutions.
- Monitor product usage to ensure compliance.
- Build and nurture client trust and respect, establishing strong client relationships.
- Participate actively and engage in war rooms when necessary.
- Document best practices and operational procedures.
Experience:
- 6-10 years of experience in the IT Software industry.
- 4-6 years of experience as an Enterprise Monitoring and Event Management Administrator in APM Technologies.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Dynatrace Managed/SaaS solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with customers and delivery teams to manage customer requirements.
- Exposure to stakeholder engagement related to monitoring SLAs and KPIs.
- Dynatrace certification is an added advantage.
- Understanding of cloud-based solutions and platforms such as OpenShift, Azure, and GCP.
- Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, JS, CSS, CDN, etc.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
