This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our circuit development squads working on innovative ways to deliver the best possible electrical circuits for the vehicle Electrical Distribution System (EDS). This role will suit someone wishing to use their engineering know-how, energy, curiosity and passion to innovate in order to create the best possible outcomes for EDS and for the whole vehicle electrical system design. Specifically, the role will encompass:
1. Create circuit designs to the vehicle timing plan, with no errors and with all sign-offs and audits passed
2. Using circuit design knowledge together with the application of all circuit related standards and requirements create accurate, efficient and robust circuit designs
3. Work with System Owners, Component Owners, the blueprint designs and benchmarking to develop better hardware designs
4. Support Component Owners in delivering their Interface Specification (Device Transmittal) to the required Quality Standard
5. Working with 3D CAD, determine the optimum positioning of components and harness partitioning
6. Working on the principles of blueprint design, ensure efficiency and commonality across JLR car lines
7. Create efficient, common in-line, grounding and network topology strategies for the circuit design 8. Work in Capital Generative Flow or Capital Interactive Flow as required by the type of project (Pre-Dev or production)
